hi guys...
suddenly i tot of this...never did tot of it before...
here goes...
if the situation needs at least 1/100 shutter @ f5.6 to get a perfect exposure...then we +1.0 exp. comp...
so it will be equal to something faster than 1/100 @ f5.6 w/o exp. comp. rite?
if so...
why and when do we need exp comp?
i m really confused here...
thanks in advance for any answers...=)

its based on your metering, like the metering mode suggested 1/125 shutter @ f5.6, then you add in another +1.0 exp com. then it should be around 1/60 shutter at f5.6.

The reason for this is because sometimes the metering system of your camera might be fooled by the scene that you're trying to shoot in.

A example is when a photographer shoot in a snowy scene, everything in the scene is white, thus this fooled the sensor for underexposing, though when you check the metering in your camera is "0", by dialing in around +1.0ev should fix the underexposure problem.

I could be wrong, but I think if you have auto ISO on it will still affect your exposure... best way to find out is to test I guess. tongue.gif

yes, it will not work unless it's a 1D.

In manual mode, you adjust the compensation manually, so it's the same thing as exposure compensation.
