I would say that trolling and zero-value are distinct qualities of posts. A post can be neither, either, or both.

The mods are lacking enforcement in RWI....
lately lots of so called zero value posts in RWI.... QUOTE(onemilimeter @ Dec 5 2007, 01:21 PM) Whereas the rules stated this:"Announcement: Starting from today, there will be a zero tolerance policy against spam. Anybody caught spamming with meaningless posts, rant posts, or one liner posts like "Ya, I agree" will be warned and probably castrated. XD" QUOTE(Colaboy @ Dec 5 2007, 04:24 PM) Don't want to comment about kopitiam though....but lately the diseases is in RWI..... |

We're short of moderating staff (we're looking for new moderators) there so enforcement is a bit lax. I'll take a look tonight.

Thanks....
I think particularly RWI needs constant monitoring as post had been degrading. A quote by fellow forumers in a heated thread: QUOTE(silverhawk @ Dec 6 2007, 04:21 PM) |

Thanks for your help, I understand its frustrating but finding suitable moderators who stay is harder than it seems. Do let me know if there is any regular there who'd be suitable for the task.

Boss, have PM you several recommendations for RWI. Whom I observe are quite matured in their postings and also quite knowledgeable.

Same goes for the rule of Political/Race/Religion related threads, in Kopitiam (not RWI).
This focus is not particularly on the minor threads (those are practically closed by Mods), but on big occasions threads like the HINDRAF and November 10th, which were not closed. This also comes under members with avatars and sigs that are crossing that rule over. Hope the selected Mods for RWI can also help on Kopitiam on this rule. |
