Are u sure the battery is ok? If you're sure...then try re-synching it. You know, push the red button on the console (near the sd card slot).

Your Wiimote should be able to light-up as long as you have batteries in them.

If wiimote doesn't respond after putting in batteries, try taking them out, and putting them back in again and see if it works.

Other than that, I think your Wiimote is kaputedz already.

i thought to sync the controller, you need to push the sync button on the console as well as the wiimote, no?

it happened to me once and i managed to sync it back. i have to do this almost every time i replace the battery.

You only need to sync once per-Wiimote. Your first Wiimote has already been sync'ed during the manufacturing process(the one packaged with the Wii console). Additional Wiimote needs to sync, if not, you won't be able to power-on through that Wiimote. And it will be disabled every time you go to a new channel, or some loading screen.

@ badrul: Even without sync, the Wiimote should still light-up. Got two types(I also dunno why), it's either press any button, then blink once, which also doubles as a battery level checker, or sometimes it goes into discovery mode, which is blinking lights for a few seconds(like when you press 1+2 to sync through reconnect function, OR, use the sync button, it's the same).

Simply put badrul, as long as your Wiimote doesn't light up with batteries inside, there's something wrong. Don't know if there's any technicians able to repair faulty Wiimotes, but if you can't, best to replace em'. (or MAYBE Nintendo can actually replace these)

There's a picture guide in the jap manual.
U press the red button on ur wiimote (in the batery place) and then u press the red button on the wii console.

Well, sadly, I have a different problem than you. My XBOX 360 wireless controller kaput-ed a few weeks back. Can't be repaired and worst of all not under warranty anymore. Sheesshh ....... have to cough out money to buy a new one, the spoilt controller is now inside the box collecting dust. Guess it's a wrong move to have all consoles made in China, very poor QC, anything can happen whether you own a PS2, PS3, Wii or XBOX 360.

anything can spoil.

there is no guarantee of a product that will last.

just look at "microsoft" on their machine.

and just look at "sony" on their lens.

remember playstation1 ? it takes like what ? 2 - 3 years finally get to "stable" condition ?
