Right now I need to purchase any digital camera around the range of RM750-900.

I just need it for basic purposes and max 4r printing...

No preferences just need propers ones.

Canon A570 IS would be enough.

Anything 3MP & above suffice.

Even the sub-RM200 from 'i' or 'benq' can do the job.

kodak? those above rm400 will do

But what about the DSC S700 or DSCW55 cybershots... ?

Would there be much of a difference in quality?

Thanks a million guys... And know when I can hunt for the cheapest deal.. There's computer fair this weekend but is it worthwhile purchasing a computer from there? Especially after sales and all? any exp?

In 4R, not much I guess. If I were you I'll stick with canon compacts (but not the A4++ series). Much more satisfying.

It's not worthwhile to buy computer at the com fair. Price the same or sometimes even higher.

I prefer buying a computer from a reputable dealer without the crowd. And about the camera, is it important to you that it must be slim? Personally, no offence but I'm not really into the lower end sony compacts, thought I would love to get my hands on the higher ends, but of course its up to you. Though I agree with NasiLemakMan, Canon compacts are quite nice. Some Nikon's really slim but I never had the chance to look at the picture quality... Go scout around and see whether you like the feel of your potential camera, thats the most important thing. Or do some online scouting first at http://www.dpreview.com

I've just been hunting and canon a570 seems to be the best bet...

what do you all think about it...
