QUOTE(zenx @ Jun 25 2008, 04:28 PM) yoz... i'm curious any of you using steering wheel to play grid? drift difficulties differs from one cars to another, for me, I only tried Nissan Silvia and Toyota Soarer which seems easy to drift...i'm kinda difficult to play drift mode using steering wheel... the drifting harder then pro street ( for me )... thats only things i not really satisfy --> they dun have the clutch setting |

QUOTE(CZero @ Jun 27 2008, 09:13 PM) For me, silvia is the easiest car to drift with. That just distribution office in Malaysia, and no, Codemaster (office) in Malaysia didn't contribute to the making of GRID...Well, I'm not sure bout it but Codemaster got office in Malaysia, and they too contribute (I dunno what word to put here, so pardon me) for the game. And if I not mistaken, GRID is not the first game they do here. DiRT oso. And I think that's why Codemaster also launch the game here. (Yeah, it's freaking rare for any developer to officially launch their games at piracy-laden place like Malaysia.) Correct me if I'm wrong. /me facepalm at the engrish... |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 10 2008, 10:30 AM) ??? I max the settings all the way I can without having a single lags and I'm happy with both performance and visuals... even NFS:PS looks uglier compared to GRID side by side... I rather have a smooth race instead of a good looking pictars. Heck, I'd do anything to get a 100++ FPS as it means better car handling |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 10 2008, 09:37 PM) no, you don't understand. No lag is different from more FPS. No lag means a smooth picture. Loosk good, but the lack of FPS means that your brain will be a bit lagging in receiving information from the eyes due to gap between the frames. Higher frames, will fill this gap, and thus you will feel the difference in term of handling, and it will make the difference between that milisecond you need to exactly brake the care where you want it. Even if your monitor's refresh rate is below the FPS, the transition means that it still feels smother to the brain. wow, that's something new... I never thought that more FPS make such differences. my eyes can catch up just fine with current FPS, and 100+ FPS doesn't seems do any difference in my gaming performance... That's why I can't play with 60FPS. My brain will feel the car feel sluggish to response. While other players can play on that rate, I can't |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 11 2008, 12:18 AM) lol, twitch shooters love higher FPS. also I came from a sim racing background. Which is why i generally hate Gran Turismo coz the PS2 cap it at 60FPS well, I do agree that shooter love higher FPS, I do play shooting game alot and a single FPS drop can be deadly, but for racing/sim racing game... nahh... I need to train to achieve that... do I need a wheel to achieve that? |

QUOTE(victor_hoh @ Jul 11 2008, 10:50 AM) What does "w00t! jaggies detected! " means then? Not many people can have a good Graphic card to enable high resolution or AA, you know. when I said that, I was more like "hey dude, why don't crank up the setting a bit?" and he said "I want more FPS than nice visuals" and obviously he can crank it up if he want it, why don't you follow the conversation before jumping into conclusion? QUOTE(victor_hoh @ Jul 11 2008, 10:50 AM) that's you not me... |

QUOTE(skylinegtr34rule4life @ Nov 19 2008, 05:14 AM) haiyah graphics is not everything wey...there are other elements can be used 2 enjoy a game ma...i also don't expect undercover graphics like grid also...i actually like this game very much because the car list is so yummy like hell What cars inside also not everything wey... No one expect the graphics will be like GRID, but this is too much worse. It's nothing like screenies I've seen before the game comes out. For you this has to be the best NFS? Come on man, it's 2008 (and almost 2009), if they didn't fapping too much when they see Maggie Q, they would have gotten enough times to fix the shadows and other cars details. In fact, they didn't even really "finish" the game, it shouldn't called "Gold" IMO. Taxis, bus, trucks etc always make a turn into blockades, I got my car flying when got chased by police, and got busted for it |

QUOTE(Invince_Z @ Nov 22 2008, 07:11 PM) you need an EA account first, which can be created for free, but never test it. There's a private race or something in the online menu, but dunno if it will need genuine cd-key for play... |
