The vote doesn't contribute to the selection, it's the Editor who made the decision. Someone from TheStar called me yesterday for the incident detail, however I didn't see my photo posted at the website yesterday. Never thought it is published today and kind enough to give me RM50

I'm afraid I might get myself in trouble doing that . Frankly, they were really serious doing the rescue. The firefighters were running to get the new hose as soon as they realized the hose was burst.

nice photo. Its a good photojournalism themed photo. I think it'll look good in black and white too

Yeah, I agree. The color is dull due to the smoke and water splash, and I think the composition could be better. Just that I only have millisecond to compose this shot as the splashing water is wetting my camera. This is definitely not my favorite among the series, but I thought this could be favorable to the Editor for that challenge
