Okay, two days after buying the console, I tried playing this new game, Star Wars Complete Saga, I pop in the DVD, played till I reach a stage then boom, the error pops out, can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? It's a new disc, yet untouched till I start playing it. Could it be the DVD? I'm not sure why but it seems like other games are kinda okay, I never had the problem, only that game.

it's either a one time thing (hey, a 360 is still a machine u know) like wut happened to me or it could be a faulty drive.
if it's faulty, u;ll most likely get scratched discs.
but then again, ur console is modded, so i'm not sure wut kind of problems the modded ones face.

You bought the console? U sure? I never feel I own something even though I bought it when it is pirated. Guess pirates, no matter how high they sail, they eventually slip and fall...

Disc Read Error?
Ah, you can fix that by rubbing out the invisible scratches on your disc with 50-grit sandpaper.

QUOTE(KoYuKii @ Dec 2 2007, 09:53 PM) buy ori play ori sure no worry Uh, I wouldn't say that all the time. Despite the fact we are supposed to use original software only, I've experienced such issues where my games will not play after a certain amount of time. Let's say I can play it today and tomorrow, then not at all the next day. I let it rest for a couple of days (or weeks), then I can play it again. Haunted disc. And no, it's not my drive's problems, since I can play every other game effortlessly. In case anyone's interested to know, the title is Dead Or Alive 4.

QUOTE(tamironcup @ Dec 3 2007, 11:12 PM) seems like ori has more problems than modded You'd need a bigger sample size before passing judgement. Ultimately, modded has the biggest problem. Without live, what is an x360 good for?

some of those DVD drives are quite sensitive to heat. their performance can be affected by the heat from the gpu. ori disc or not - "disc is unreadable" happen sometimes even back in xbox1/ps2 days.
