some of those DVD drives are quite sensitive to heat. their performance can be affected by the heat from the gpu. ori disc or not - "disc is unreadable" happen sometimes even back in xbox1/ps2 days.

i've experienced the same thing...dead or alive 4 unreadable...then i try to open the disc on pc, same also unreadable...other discs no prob. QUOTE(tripleB @ Dec 3 2007, 04:13 PM) Uh, I wouldn't say that all the time. Despite the fact we are supposed to use original software only, I've experienced such issues where my games will not play after a certain amount of time. Let's say I can play it today and tomorrow, then not at all the next day. I let it rest for a couple of days (or weeks), then I can play it again. Haunted disc. And no, it's not my drive's problems, since I can play every other game effortlessly. In case anyone's interested to know, the title is Dead Or Alive 4. |
