err guys..got some prob...about the fan

on auto setting(monitor by GPU-z)...when the temp reach 80'....the fan should run at 70% of it speed rite....the prob is only the GPU-z said so...the fan at the gfx still running at lower speed...how to fix this...

i have to set manual 70%...cannot set auto...if not the temp will reach 90' on load...coz the fan still running at lower speed no matter what's the temp...not following the rate it suppose to be...

auto > idle 57-58 load 87-90 (CPU-z show the fan running at 85% but actually not...no noise at the fan n silent)
fix 70% > idle 43-45 load 63-65 (i can hear the noise of the fan running at high speed)

the card already flash by fix bios (10.071)...still same...is there any latest update bios??? I found 10.077..anyone test it??

Those who wan CF 3850 or 3870,i suggest wait.
Wait for HD 4xxx series coming in June.
Btw,this card i still cannot afford.
Lets see how much will the 4xxx series cost

i am oso using p5k deluxe .. now facing some probs with it .. not coz of gfx card laa .. hehehe

3870x2 will cover 4 of your 6 SATA slots on the mobo ..
3870 (dual slot) will oso cover 4 of your SATA slots ..

i have to say the current 3870 drivers are not entirely stable just yet .. i had to downclock my OC version (ASUS TOP) to play some games ..
dunno if it is just ASUS TOP version or other manufacturer OC version 3870 oso facing same probs ..

as for 3870X2 .. i have to say it is just WONDERFUL .. altho drivers for it farked up .. it still did its stuff wonderfully well
just wait abit more for the drivers to be nice and stable .. then can consider liauu .. hehehehe

i hv no problem using latest driver for my OC version card..

hmm ... mine screwed up ... so i sold off the card liau now .. hahahahaaa
wait another couple more months maybe go jump onto the X2 wagon ..

hehe finally manage to test this new card from AMD.. hopefully can have its nvidia counterpart soon..

the result is quite poor might bcoz of my p35 board that does not has dual pci-e x16 lanes and also pure pci-e 2.0.. and also bcoz of immature driver..

we've tested by oc the 3870x2 to 875 / 950 (from 825/900) and the increase is only 22 marks..

update...ATI release Catalyst 8.3 Hotfix

ATI/AMD have released a hotfix for their Catalyst software suite. This Hotfix solves intermittent stuttering issues seen when running various 3D applications with ATI's Radeon HD 2000-3000 GPUs. This Hotfix is available for Windows XP, Windows XP x64, Windows Vista x32 and Windows Vista x64.

erm... this hotfix fixing the problem with 3D programs such as AutoCAD and MAYA to name a few , because on other program a.k.a like PC games and benchmarking... it went well

, your crossfire setup is very good, but due to limited processor, they can't go further... , you need a better processor le, with bigger cache for instance

Kinda off, maybe look not so nice in 3Dmark but improve a bit in Gaming. Its time to try 3870 x2 CF.
I dont think my proc can cope up though. Hope mew Phenom release soon.

You fixed the fan ur self. Download the ati bios editor and change the fan setting to temp=42 and steepness=52. Advisable to use ur OWN ori bios to mod. Now idling at 51c and under load at 70-75c.
