Im using a used kit as well, got the battery grip plus a original battery along with only just Rm2000

and the good thing is 7k shutter only with 6 months warranty left

it's ok as long as u test the lens properly and make sure everything working. if still got warranty even better

Don have to get a hood la, lens + filter enough. The thing is during the buy make sure that you do a few test shots to check everything up, the autofocus also must be checked. And then set to MF, turn the focusing ring around to feel if there's any abnormalities on it. Check the front and back of the lens to see whether there's scratches on it too. Best if that there's still warranty left.

easy, just see whether the glass elements at the front and the back of the lens got scratches or not lo. Don have to do anything special, just check only, like how you check your LCD got scratch or not

When i say turn the focusing, you check by turning the focusing ring out and back, and try to "feel" if there's anything inside the lens blocking the gears inside.

Oh yeah, 1 more thing to add, during the check, make sure there's no fungus or mold inside, you can do this by checking through the view finder, and point your camera towards a bright scene and see whether there's any black spots on the lens.

Forget about 3rd party speedlight , save up more and get Canon ones.
