As for 24-105mm L it can be used for fashion shows or portraitures because it has the length and the wideness is tighter than the 17-40mm L. Like I said

  Well, slowly, the L lens will not run away. So, you can still buy it later. I've always preferred new lens rather than second hand.

I'd rather stick to a brand because switching costs are really high, IMO.

I've been a Canon user since the day I bought my camera which was a few years back and never thought of changing. Hehehe!

yeah will surely get the 70-200mm F5 L once i've the money, it's sweeet.

rare masterpiece means expensive or hard to find?

i'm still a student so i don't have a steady income. relying on my dad's though-a-lil-lost-but-still-ever-present passion for photography to obtain a lens.

any new alternatives i can get for around that price range? dad's not too keen on getting used lenses, and only God knows why.

but maybe it'll be the C50mm prime first, we'll see how things progress.

btw anyone use this lens before Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Auto Focus Macro Lens, suits what I wanted, good prime and macro lens, I see Shashinki price is RM899

And does a 70-200 f/4 L cost Rm5k?  It should cost less than that iinm.

Current budget = No Budget. (means I have to start saving money.. if get the 55-250mm, then at least can get it earlier.. keke..)

Hard to say what i shoot more, since I will shoot anything which is interesting enough.

In anycase, there will be a few weddings I will be attending (as guests) and would like to shoot some there. (perhaps should get a speedlite .... but not really like to shoot with flash. Too distracting, and to add to that, the 580ex is like nearly 2K!!!)

So.. The 70-300 IS not all that good? Hmm if that's the case and the 70-200L F4 is Rm3K then, could be OK, I guess. But is this price with IS? I want those lenses with IS.(USM would be nice but not really _that_ important I guess)
