Okay guys, though its not something big, but here's a really good photography who's really good at taking panoramas using the 350D.

Have a look and be amazed, if im not wrong he only uses the kit lens. smile.gif
http://robertmekis.com/?kateg=photos&subkateg=landscape

Oh yea, he uses ND grads too. smile.gif

Hope that this will be a good inspiration for you all happy.gif
*
o...he is 1 of my favour 350D photographer users..i really like his photo, but i dunno how he shoot the pic so shape and detail~~

lol, high f number plus a little sharpening will do d. Usually around f11 is the sharpest for the kit lens. smile.gif But shud try f16, more depth. But since its a panorama i think f11 will do

i wish to shoot those scene but i dun hv transport to go out early , no tripod not filter lagi....swt~~~

it looks like polarize filter is a must ...
*
polarize filter work it's own full strength when u are 90 degree to the sunlight(like shooting scene during noon time)

ND filter is different...it can block the sun light while u can capture to scene colour more rich (correct me if wrong)

remember guys, he used filters, for example

Filters:
Cokin Graduated Gray (neutral) A120
Cokin Graduated Gray (neutral) A121

and i believe those shots have undergone PP.

since we're talking about landscape, here's one guy's shots that i like
http://www.pbase.com/trot/scenic

FYI he's on LYN forum. just inactive already by the looks of it.
*
guarantee have little pped, in real live u cant shot those vivid colour from ur camera with filter , even see from ur eye too

u guy should check this guy too, he using 350D

http://hotburrito2.deviantart.com/gallery/

Need some advice.. Will likely go to USA sometime next month.

However, I don't think I will be able to do any mail-orders.

So, my question is, which lenses should I consider buying?

For one, the 55-250 canon is N/A in the USA, so the 1st option I want is off the list.

Then there's the 70-200 F4L IS going for ~USD1K (Non IS ~USD538)
70-200 F2.8 L IS USM ~USD1.5K
70-300 IS USM ~USD529
Tamron 28-300 (VC) USD600

Speedlite 530EX II going for ~USD350
I'm sure a lot of you guys have made research into US prices. can you give me some pointers as to what is cheap?
*
waw the 70-200mm F4 without IS is 538USD??? thats CHEAP!!! its like rm1775+

and my question...
want to get 70-200mm f4L good or
24-105mm F4L ?

any idea ? budget <2k
*
i will choose the 24-105mm too hehe~~

for the 70-200 F4 L u hv a change get it around RM1950-2300

but for 24-105mm F4L, mostly around 3000-4000(for 2nd hand-now the pudu plaza there hv 2nd hand RM3000)

i prefer u go the pudu plaza there check for it~~~

Dear sifus, if i've got the budget, which item should i go for (buy)?
(1) 5D (body only) or
(2) zoom lense (70-200mm f4L or 70-200mm f2.8L ?)

currently, i used 350D + 17-40mm f4L + 580exII. want to try telephoto but at the same time 5D is very tempting... sooner or later will change to full frame. please advise. many thanks.
*
if u frequently shoot in low light @ u like wide angle shoot go for 5D.... wink.gif wink.gif
