hello, it's just crossed my mind moment ago, when i visited Guru3D.Com forum and came with idea... how about adding a new feature like screenshot i took here...

user posted image

the custom title maybe we can still leave it, as well as the stars and tag, only add the PC spec option, so that, we don't have to put in our siggy (well some times the siggy way too big, or fancy or whatsoever...), not to mention i think it easier for us especially in Hardware/Technical section smile.gif

It might be beneficial to those who are into PC stuff, but how about those Photographers in Photography forums? Girls in Girls Club? Handphone / Pda users?

Moreover signature isn't meant solely to put your PC specs.

agreed with sniper69.
maybe can add some options in the profile page.
user can choose to put what title they want..
if PC freak, they can choose like what sniper69 mentioned.
for photographer, they can put what camera they use.
for PDA or handphone, same also.
well, this is just my added opinion. sorry if off topic.. smile.gif

and do you know that putting those in the avatar / profile area would stretch the page longer?

in fact it's almost as long as a 15 line siggy. that also after added to the existing stuff on the profile - wahhhh. long.

Well, there are some forums that allow people to put images in their signatures up to 600 px high plus bloat stuffs at the profile section under the usernames. The funny thing is that some of them only post few words plus spamming. It made the page long enough but few wording. Wasting bandwidth. doh.gif

many of us are wasting bandwith already. I have to adjust mah sig so many time because goldfries nuked it even tho I always thought it complies with the rule. My current one IMO is just barely made it through the sig rule.
The one that you suggestd is Not needed really except to elongate e-penis, and you can do much better design if you're creative enough with ur sig. who wants to see the same thing from all users really?

oh yeah lor. just 1 liner but the siggy + avatar details already longer than that.

in LYN it's quite often like that too, especially when someone posted like 5 - 10 images and the next person quoted the 5 - 10 pictures and posted a 1 liner. smile.gif

hehe. 2 main conditions

1. does not exceed 15 lines of size 1 text
2. does not exeed 70kb

biggrin.gif

anyway lotsa images doesn't waste LYN bandwidth. it wastes our own bandwidth to the Internet. from LYN to our machine it's just a bunch of HTML.

imagine some sites actually have people loading 100kb++ sized siggies, usually a scene from anime, SPARTA (300) parody or whatever else. biggrin.gif nuts. I've seen 100kb++ avatars too. nutso.

the thing is that in the US they're not using ADSL! smile.gif AFAIK in South Korea they have 100mbps Internet connection.

[offtopic]Koreans will die without that kind of connection, the way they play their online game and starcraft...[/offtopic]
Come to think of it, we need an offtopic tag. Should be a better addition than this PC Spec one. For example in another IPB Board I visited:
