I only know More than Words...haha
No idea how is the heavy songs sounds like at all.
This band really so good? Consider as Legend band?
Well, imho, More Than Words is one of their good songs. I'd say that More than Words put Extreme on charts but at the same time, that song ruined their career and offset the focus (their talents).
People wanted more songs like More than Words from Extreme; but they were more than just those 80s 90s hair bands. They've got so much more to deliver.
You'd agree that they're good if you like versatile musicians like them. They don't just make heavy rocks.
They may not be legend yet base on their past 'sales', but they really are underrated and were too good for their era.
Listen to their '94 album Waiting for The Punchline and you should learn how creative they've been during that time.

consider as niche band that appeal to certain minority people with specific taste.
so underground that its underground of the underground.
Mainstream britney, justin, timberland fans like us should know just about nothing.
"what the hell is EXTREME?!! Really so EXTREME MEH?!! They play EXTREME sports ah?!!"
not that they are bad, just not mainstream enough.
Agree with you. But Extreme wasn't that underground.
If you're talking about Nuno & Gary's solo projects then you're right!
Well, not to say just EXTREME, mainstream listeners don't even know what music is... lol
To most people, something slow and easy = jazz; rock is noisy, metal is f***ing noisy... etc etc
Some people are just so spoon fed, but after all, it's just about taste and what you want (music? or starz?).

I admit that the only 2 songs I know from Extreme are More Than Words and Get The Funk Out lolx.
Get The Funk Out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeKqqnFFTdoDig "3 Sides" & "Waiting for the Punchline" then you know Extreme is deep and far beyond "Get the Funk Out" & "More than Words"
They've pushed themselves so far away, maybe too far from the market n charts hahaha!
