I just got my set of XBox 360 in Midvalley Megamall, lovely price and all that jazz but there's one thing that caught my eye there, this External Cooling Fan for the XBox 360, I know this console suffered from lots of problems especially overheat, but I'm more worried about overheating than other problems seeing they do not cover warranty for overheating console. So is it worth it to get it?

Alsom, how long do I need to let it cool down after playing for an hour or two?

yep, after playing games, it;s better to return to dashboard first (press the XBOX guide button and press Y)and let it idle for 2-3 minutes, rather than press the off button while playing games, also, if u have extra cooling fan, after turn off the power , let it cool the box for 2- 3minutes ...good luck!!

i'm not sure about this but ppl say it's better to put ur concole in vertical position as heat builds up on the MOBO side -u can feel it quite warm when u play games, so, if u put it vertical + fan stand + extra cooling, that would be awesome! n make sure u place it well venitilated area n not in tight space cabinet or TV cabinet(refer to manual)

I'm not sure how but is it better to start the console and insert CD via dashboard? Or insert CD while the console is starting?

My console has a fan blowing right at it with my room air-con at 17.c .. yup, call me crazy smile.gif
