hello... i just want to ask here about my dreamcast. got it from a friend.

Dreamcast can power on, i can see picture on tv, but the controller is not detect. is there anyone who know what should be done (check, replace) to make the controller function back? i got 3 controller, and 1 steering.. also not detect.

ya cannot detect all joystick. is there posible the console controller port is the one is faulty?

maybe the console port..have u tried with all port? if cant also...maybe the board itself.

ya already both port. emm.. if the problem is with the mboard, is there any place in penang can i sent the console?

Is there any seller here that can repair dreamcast? I have one long ago, haven't really played it for a while..

I tried it last few weeks, can turn on, got sound, but no picture.....Any idea?

Finally.. i will got my dreamcast work! just simple step..

1. remove 8 screw.
2. solder and change ....

brows.gif and it wont cost more then rm10. Stupid shop that i sent to repair before.. hold my dreamcast for 9 month but cannot do nothing! the repair should take not more then 10 minutes.

now i can play dreamcast again until can repair my ps2.. yeS!!!!

erm..i am looking for the internal battery. it seems like the dc's internal battery is a rechargeable type..got a battery with the same output power, but cant be recharge..any body have any clue?

Do you have the internal battery serial number ? Perhaps you can check this website selling batteries. The shop is located in Amcorp Mall (PJ)

just got a DC...
wanna ask sumthing..why some of my cd game cannot read ar??when swith on the console the music menu appear.....and when push a start on a play game sreen the text please insert a cd appear???most of the cd cannot read,juz can play 1-2 game till now ...arghhh help me

You have the same problem as me. The Dreamcast's laser unit has worn out. This is simply a wear-and-tear issue. Tweaking the laser pot setting might help, but if done wrongly it can permanently damage the laser. If you can find a replacement laser, it should be able to work properly again. Way back in 2001, it was common to find replacement lasers in Sg Wang, but now...

The tweaking can be done simply by using a precision screwdriver. You just need to tweak the laser pot to increase the power output. However, you cannot simply just tweak it blindly, or else the power output might get overloaded and blow out. If if happens, the laser will be permanently damaged, and you won't be able to use it any longer.
