Hi all, I am new to MAC world.. and I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to download emails from my hotmail and Yahoo mail account into Mail so that I don't have to go online to check when it prompt me of new emails.
I am very used to the fact of the Outlook Express features.. so I was wondering if Mac Mail can also do the same for my others web-based accounts or there are any other software that are capable of handling such task.
Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

in leopard, apple's mail is fully automated when comes to registering urself with yahoo mail... all u need to do is type in ur yahoo username n password...
if u r using mail in tiger (10.4.x) ur incoming mail address for yahoo is pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk outgoing mail address is smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
and for hotmail, u need install some 3rd party software to enable httpmail in Mail, which i tried... isnt working perfectly.... maybe someone else here can help u with that....

I am using HTTP Mail plugin on my OSX 10.3.9 for Hotmail retrieval and it works fine. Google it and try to install the plugin. Not very sure if it works with Leopard as yet but they have the Tiger release there. http://sourceforge.net/projects/httpmail-plugin
