It won't be obvious for a beginner because they can't really differentiate between tones...... but once you get to know the neck and the pickups, yeah... then there is a big difference. If it's with the tremolo? Fuggattaboutit. The GRG Trem sucks BIG time.....

ya... the trem...but my fren used a gio with micro-cube amp.....sounded quite gud...

That's because you haven't hear the proper RG yet. Gio and RG is like land and sky difference. Gio and Prestige is like land and the star tongue.gif

Gio = low end
RG = mid end
RG prestige = high end

the gio is quite ok for beginner to get as a starter guitar. the neck is quite thin too.

but the difference is there, when u compare all of them side by side. from the playability (AANJ FTW thumbup.gif ), tone and built

The cheaper trem suck because they can go out of tune quite easily..... plus to me, the strings have a higher chance of breaking when you pull off some trem tricks.

SX arn't so bad...... give 'em a chance and you might be pleasantly surprised.
