I dlded and tried out foobar 0.9.1. Seems to take up 20mb. Browsing and searching your library also seems to be a pain and I cant seem to find the noise sharpening plugin people are talking about for 0.9.1. Starts up fast though. Apart from that, I cant see any incentive to switch from iTunes.

QUOTE(fariz @ May 12 2006, 03:18 PM) something must be wrong with your pc Thanks. The next time I started it it (foobar) was ok..2mb. Thanks for the link too. Tried it, and left it. It worked pretty well on old recordings, but on my modern scores with spiffy digital recordings it made it sound too dry and separated...like some close micing or baffling was done. by default is doesn't rival the library view of itunes. that can be change by using browser plugin or autoplaylist. noise sharpening plugin is here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....opic=31899&st=0 if you're happy with itunes, just use it This post has been edited by BurgaFlippinMan: May 13 2006, 09:38 PM |
