Crossfeed is a hack to deal with the fact that recordings are mixed for use on speakers. With speakers your right ear hears a bit of the left speaker and your left ear hears a bit of the right speaker. With headphones, your right ear hears only the right speaker and your left ear hears only the left speaker.

Unless you're using headphones, crossfeed is not needed.

what do you mean by "it doesn't work". elaborate.

the plugin reads cover from the paths listed in sources tab.

you must use columns ui's layout tab to position it in the panel.

built-in. v0.9.2 adds configurable fade-in/out times for play/stop/pause/change/etc.

since 0.8.3 has no more support, you should upgrade..

all plugins for 0.8.3 in not compatible with 0.9.x, so you need to download them

refer to this thread for updated components

default UI: select "minimize to notification area"
columns ui: status bar/systray > select "minimise to tray"
