Can tell me how to get rid of that question mark?

You have to put //PerSecond above the script that defines the playing time.

First you have to set the Columns UI layout by clicking on Files>Preferences then Display>Columns UI. Click on the Layout tab. At the bottom you will see something like a layout tree. Just add accordingly to what has mentioned.(right-click on one of the layout entries to add/change).

An example:

Vertical splitter
---Track info mod
---Single Column Playlist View
---Track info mod

Once you have added, just click OK or Apply. Go back to your foobar main window and right-click on let's say Track info mod and click Settings... on the pop-out menu. Then paste the posted config text file to the formatting string. Do this similarly to the Single Column Playlist as well. Once you are done, just click OK or Apply.

Since you just started using foobar, you should spend some time reading the basics at Hydrogenaudio forum or Hydrogenaudio Wiki.

If you don't have any options present in your foobar as aforementioned, you need to download the the required plugins here and move it to <your foobar directory>\components folder.

Question 1
I wish to make a reflection effect for an image by flipping the image over and adding the alpha option. But, my image won't rotate or flip even though i have inserted the ROTATEFLIP-x option. Here's the formatting string:



Is there anything wrong with my formatting string? Mind to tell what's the problem?

Anyway, you've indirectly help me with my first problem. I've just notice that the v0.71 beta of track if mod won't let me rotate the image. Until you mentioned about the older version of track info mod, i only realized that i am still using the 0.71 beta version. Upgrading to the newer 0.80 beta solve my problem.

Anyone?

Hmm... weird. I try to download it myself and extract it but it doesn't seem to have any CRC errors. I think the problem is caused by the way how the archive is downloaded to your computer. It might have been corrupted in the process of downloading due to crappy connection to the server. Well, you could try downloading it again. If that fails, just download it from here as i have uploaded it to rapidshare.

You need to include // PerSecond above the formatting string that defines the playback time. Note there is a space between // and PerSecond.

Foobar can support unicode characters by default. The problem now lies with the installation of east asian language pack on your system. Install it if you haven't. And, if you are still being presented with weird characters, the only factor left is the font style in which you had chosen for the playlist. Certain font styles do not contain the information needed to be displayed as unicode characters. Therefore, you will have no choice but to choose other font styles.

If you are using columns ui's playlist view, you could change the playlist font via the preferences window. I guess i do not need to elaborate much. It's pretty simple and straight forward.

If you are using Panels UI's built-in single column playlist or the standalone single column playlist plugins, then just right click on the playlist and select Settings or Preferences. You will be presented with a chunk of formatting strings. Make sure you are viewing the formatting strings for the items. Not groups. Scroll along until you find something like $font(). The first argument for this function is the font's name. What you need to do is just change it to a new font name. Let's say Times New Roman to Segoe UI. After doing that, just click "OK" or "Apply".

Guys, I need your assistance.

I am creating my own PanelsUI config for foobar. I would like to split it into two interfaces. One interface for Now Playing and the another for Playlist. However, I'm stuck halfway . I can't think of a way to change between the two interfaces. I know this could be done using $button. But, what should I put for the command argument of the $button function? The objective is to change to the Now Playing interface when for example, the "Now Playing" button is clicked and likewise for the "Playlist" button.

Any help will be appreciated.

Finally, I've managed to find the solution to my previous problem. In case you guys don't know, I would like to share this with you. You just need to assign a variable using $puts and place $getpvar(variablename) under the width argument of the $panel function. Then, type in PVAR:SET:<name>:<value> under the command argument of the $button function to set the variable's value. In my case, I set the variable's value to 0 when the button is clicked. Therefore, the panel which I would want to hide will go missing since its width is now 0.

Yes. The transparency at the top is only available for Vista users as it uses the $glass function. However, I tried the config on XP and do a little tweaking. Here's how it looks in XP.



Heh. I still prefer it on Vista.


For the icons, I extracted some of them from Vista's shell32.dll and other related .dll files using ResHack. As for others, I took screenshots on Vista's explorer window and crop it accordingly. Those that I did using photoshop were the glass album cover and black glossy bar for the single column playlist.


By the way, I will release it once I figure out how to solve an issue with the buttons.
