yeap can produce bass, but not deep as subwoofer does. It can shake your car inside but not outside.

Anyway i'm using Soundstream XTS6.9 on the rear with pioneer FIE feature ON. It seems that my pioneer built in mosfet amp not enough power to churn out my 6x9 potential power doh.gif

If full range 6x9 being used, clarity and bass is there for you. Its more like a complete sound system for rear passenger.

your definition of keng is what?

to me... yes... they could perform for the mid-bass and bass area... but certainly not sub bass... and well... like any other drivers... they need power to perform... more power certainly come from an amp... so why not get an amp with 10" sub instead of a 6x9?

and yea... going back to space saving and better bass... perhaps you could find a way to mount the 6x9 in ported enclosure... tht would yield a better bass for your applications...

cheers...

coupled with a pair of mid and crossover, the sound quality better than only 6x9.
use 6x9 for rear and front with mid.
add a woofer for effective staging effect.
