RM150 only? Y not giv it a try?
I have no idea y others said save money to turbochange or swap engine or change car which need ar least 20 times of the RM150.....
RM150 only, go try n let us know...
A try? bro, this surbo thingy has been around since 3-4 years ago. Lots of people triy it and the feedback is not really good. IMHO the thing is working technically but the impact is very..very minimal(u cant even noticed)...for rm150..better spend it on fuel.

i think surbo is used in some merc rite?? anyway whats the diff with supercharger??
Surbo in Volvo or Saab means soft turbo. In other word low boost turbo, they still use the turbine..but tuned it at low boost(not this rm150 so called Surbo device). The only merc model use turbo is the one that say bi-turbo. Most merc use kompressor in other word supercharged. Supercharged system shared the same principle as turbocharged which is drawing more air into the combustion chamber(forced induction). Supercharged generate it turbine system by crankshaft while turbo by exhaust system.
Regarding the turbo lag problem..thats why the turbo manufacturer came out with twin turbo system to reduce or prevent turbo lag by separating one turbine 'duties' in to two. Or even sequential turbo system..which the two turbines works at different timing at low and high end.

supercharger=compressor. turbo uses exhaust gasses. supercharger uses an extra belt pulley to run the compressor. turbo usually has some sort of lag depending on the turbine size. but the compressor usually uses some hp to create more hp. i suggest reading up more on the net.
yes...this kind of info can be googled up or to be exact at wikipedia or howstuffworks. This post has been edited by theanswer: Nov 27 2007, 09:27 PM
