QUOTE(vermins @ Nov 25 2007, 01:39 AM) Ceramic or glass doesnt matter though, wont make a difference apart from glass letting you see if the wire is really broken. Just need to know if the time delay is necessary. can i use the 4a instead?

QUOTE(vermins @ Nov 25 2007, 08:38 PM) I'm pretty sure a 4A fuse would be quite a risk. I think you have been looking online and saw 4A on the Z5500s? I think its cause in the US their Z5500s use 4A, while in Malaysia its 2A. Some people I've talked to has said that 2A 250v fuse would be okay. But not so sure bout the other additional features like Fast Blow/Slow Blow and Time delayed. From Wiki "Fuses are often characterized as "fast-blow", "slow-blow" or "time-delay", according to the time they take to respond to an overcurrent condition. The selection of the characteristic depends on what equipment is being protected. Semiconductor devices may need a fast or ultrafast fuse for protection since semiconductors may have little capacity to withstand even a momentary overload. Fuses applied on motor circuits may have a time-delay characteristic, since the surge of current required at motor start soon decreases and is harmless to wiring and the motor."I belive on the logitech website it says sloblo(slowblow) and time delay on the fuse details. Looking around on forums someone said to get this type too - 2A 250V Slo Blo fuse. But the slo blo should be for american users. And according to the back of the subwoofer I have, it says 250v 2A time delay. Which brings back to my original question. Where can I get a 250v 2A time delay fuse here in KL? And if the time delay thing is necesary? that makes thing more confusing i think i will go get a couple of 2A as backup then and put the 4A replacement away.

QUOTE(ahpaul @ Nov 26 2007, 08:56 PM) Means after 1 year you have to pay for the warranty service loo I've deal with Logitech tech-support b4, totaly no reply at all.... well i have good experience with logitech tech support but not on our side of distributor . My Z5500 exchanged 3 times due to the lcd panel problem . Problems with piak sound when switching input and no surround sound. i bought from ALL IT but as i expected they just refused to exchanged a new set even though i bought it like 2 hours ago . They even kept my warranty card !! But anyway the logitech tech support direct me to a place where i exchanged 3 new set b4 it is working flawlessly. It is a service centre in subang . @vermins well i am not sure which 2A i got but it works . i got them from the electrial shop in imbi plaza on the 1st floor. my 4A fuse runs fine actually for 4 months but hearing what u said early i quickly swap it with a 2A fuse . @Vermin my email reply is within 24 hours , but they dont really help me much in the beginning , call them is the fastest way to get response. BTW if u bought from ALL IT , they keep all your warranty card , even after i complaint to logitech abt it , ALL IT agreed to them that they will no longer keep the warranty card away from the buyer.
abt the 2A fuse , i just show them the one i had , and they gave it to me.
@129022290 that service centre is onli for logitech certain item , LCD i am sure not under them

" meaning ALL IT dont keep the warranty card anymore? when did this happen? i got my speakers like sometime last week well thats what they said to me early of the year right on the phone with the logitech customer support . whether they really do it or not i am not sure coz i stopped going there after my speaker incident.
