before look at the salary offered , 1st look at what quality n how much capabilities u hav in u and the potentials of the company tht offer u a job.
A low starting salary doesn't mean a low remuneration 2yrs later, some companies will do huge adjustment when u prove urself worthy n not based on ur background (1st class ? world class uni/col?).

In many cases, fresh grad tend to think a company tht offer low salary is hopeless n one tht offer high salary is the future....give u an example : a MNC offer 1800 for a start but train n groom u well with their training program VS a company tht offer 2500 but require u to immediately perform efficiently.

afterall, how many fresh grads is ready n fit for any job the moment they grad ? give urself 2-3yrs on field b4 u complaint about underpaid.
just my 2cents, not against u or any fresh grad.smile.gif

How you do justify the company will surely give you huge adjustment after you performing for few years? It can be empty promises and i would say you are talking BS here. Before the company hire you, they already know your capabilities. It is not wait until you enter the company then only know you cannot perform or you are not the person they looking for. If this happened, it is the HR manager's fault and mistake. That's why there are few stages of interview going on to check you out.

What you mean huge adjustment when you prove yourself? You mean give you an 50% increment in your 1750 pay? after you work your a$$ off until midnight for 1 or 2 years time? one time adjustment give you 50% increment is in your dream.

so, for average fresh grads no oppurtunities to work laa.... all grads must be 1st class honoured..

what fresh grads need is experience.. then, up to them whether to demand or jump to other company for better pay. but still 2 years exp already can demand for rm10k? blink.gif (since one the forumer earned 6.4k. so assume if have 2years exp the salary will be 10k? or higher? shakehead.gif ... oh.. i forgot.. it's starbucks.. got so many bucks for their employee...

huge adjustment doesnt mean to give 50% increment.. maybe get more benefits and remuneration would be better.. and 50% increment from 1750 is 2625.. working for 2 years is possible to get that amount my brother... 100% increment also possible...

last but not least... r u currently working?? so i assume u already met and facing the world..
u show me your payslip here, i'll STFU..

oh... sorry big boy, sorry for hurting your feeling, i'll STFU here. I take back everything that i sincerely told you and now you can happily stick back with your job there. Good? Btw, i am here to tell you the situation and market. If you cannot take it or dont believe it, then you can treat me as BSing around. For those who are there, they will know what i'm trying to tell. Big boy, open your eyes and see around, how the hell ppl whose age around 25~28 manage to drive a brand new honda civic (or some even more ridiculous to drive BMW) and at the age of 35 owned a few houses? Do you ever think of these questions big boy? And i am not talking about those from rich family, i am talking those who really work themselves up to that level.

Another thing, do you always post up your payslips to the public? Mind show them to us that your honor hard working result? Oh yeah, i am just a secondary school dropout troublemaker and now going around subang area, trying to sell some vcd or dvd smile.gif

Big boy, look at this, the income (monthly i assume, not mine, but friend of mine) of purely pirated industry alone.

I think it is enough of the issue or honest suggestion towards other's pay. In the end, it is not our business, your money not my money, my money not your money. You stick with yours, i stick with mine. So drop the issue right here.

increment of 25%, very unlikely to happen. At mlk, one meal cost around 2.5~3. The distance maximum is 20 minutes drive at mlk with jam.

In the end, if you happy with what you got, then everyone also happy.

25% unlikely to happen?! Bullshit!
Im just 1 year in IT field(previously zero exp, this is my first job) and I just got incrment 60% for this year..
Starting pay was rm1800, then after 6 months, another adjustment rm400, became rm 2200, then after another 6 months(means I year),
60% increment of rm2200 became rm3500.
So what u wanna say?

my friend got a fat pay of rm5k working for shell miri fresh grad... construction depends... the msian market is a bit dilluted.. everyone wants a bit of the pie for contruction.. have to pay off too many ppl... end up employees suffer...

avg grads can always find other opportunities elsewhere... if you dont like the job just leave...or join the gov.. gov pays well... but depending on ur skin colour..

experience yes, it is needed... but not to the point of mistreating your employees... any company that does that is either not doing well... or the directors are taking all the $$ for themselves and most of these companies are chinamans... no responsibility towards the wellfare of their employees so turnover is high

in msia the edu system is a bit crazy... some people that dont deserve to be grads end up getting a degree therefore employers have a hard time knowing actually who are the good ones... so the rest suffers as well

So you are doing SAP, and no long ago you just got the certified, right? So you did not clear your situation here and i believe your increment of 60% is because of previously you dont have the SAP experience or certificate and now you got it like the abaper? So please dont take "without certificate" direct compare "with certificate", it just dont make sense!

hahahaa... sry dude... i was earning usd XD

i believe most MNC offers a minimum of 2.5k ... chinaman maybe 2k... how do u make a comparison? check out the gov's pay grade and you will know.. gov is now a very employer and paymaster...

1750 is a total rip off...
*
Erm......... Chinaman huh? I think you should stop the stereotyping. No offense. I work for a China MNC, from the way I see it, our competitor will keep thinking what is our next step because our growth is so amazing. The shares jumped 55% last year.

@mutt ponder about what I'm saying now. When I was with my ex-company (freshgrad), I was being paid RM2900 with some non-tangible (phone) allowance. I was there for 10months. Now I'm drawing RM7-9K/mth in a (god forbid for most people) Chinaman company. Oh ya, I was 23 when I started to command that kind of money (RM7-9K/mth). Waiting for my increment now icon_rolleyes.gif

You were asking for recommendation right? I know Gamuda pays my friend RM3K++ with generous allowance.

BTW, I was not a 1st Class Student, almost there but it doesn't matter now tongue.gif

You were associating those attitude with Chinese/China style of running a company. If you care to read more, they have evolved.

Who said previously i dont have SAP certificate before joining my current company? My current company is my first company.
Prior to joining this company I already got certified. The 60% increment is not because im certified, but because of my performance feedback was good. The certification is nothing but just like a ticket for freshies to break into sap field without any experiences.
You really dont know what u are talking about dont you?

hi, let me ask you do you know what are you talking about Mr Castelloz? You are talking you got your SAP and got increment of 60% to rm3500. I am talking about engineering job here and you try take your bloody SAP come to project site and do the project engineer's work? If you got the one time pay increment of 60% for the site work, then i will follow your family name, other wise you throw away your SAP certificate and disqualify yourself from SAP?
