background if use black cloth would be nice. then try horizontal to the tortoise level.

Yewkhuay is right. Black sugar paper. No flash, it's the spot light from above.
I'll try to buy a black cloth, but it's bit difficult to set up in this mini studio (living hall cabinet) The camera is not slanted, it's the paper. I kept the paper by rolling it, when I unroll it, it formed a wave pattern. |

the obvious downside of the pic is its a lil bit tilted..but overall, nice shot..but theres always room for improvement..
