I bought my Bestari 206 in July 2006. Since then I've encountered 2 problems:

1) suspension - in Nov 07 started noticing loud noise every time I drove my car over a bump in the road. Took it to the workshop in Anson Road in Penang, was told the suspension was 'loose'. Noise disappeared after the mechanic worked on it, but recurred again in Jan 08. Again took it to the workshop for fixing in Jan. The noise came back again recently - Apr 08. My car is currently at the workshop.

2) power steering - 3 days ago, the steering wheel felt very heavy, and i have to pull with all my might when turning the wheel. Took the car to the workshop today - when the mechanic opened up the cylinder which contains the power steering fluid - it looked like MUD - brown and sticky!! The mechanic mentioned a number of Bestari have the same problem, some even "bocor" and have to replace. There was one car which had been left at the workshop for ONE MONTH still waiting for the spare part to arrive!

Any other Bestari 206 owners who face the same problem? I am planning to write to Naza with copies to National Consumer Organizations to complain about the quality issues with the Bestari 206 and would welcome comments from other owners who've encountered similar problems.

I have a small issue with my Power Steering Fluid too.
It was somehow "bocor" or what, the fluid gets below the minimum level.
Sent the car to a workshop and they topup the fluid free-of-charge for me, and tighten some screws below the container, and it's ok now.

Anyway, it scares me. So now I check the fluid level like....once a week.

My advice is get your power steering shaft thoroughly checked. The service center flushed the entire shaft and found a major leak. If your car is still under guarantee, get Naza to replace the entire shaft, it costs more than RM 11,000!!

just curious, where do you obtain that figure from?

That was the figure that I saw on the Naza documents sent to the workshop.
