i think there was a promotion going on... seems to be around RM 66,800 with 5 yrs warranty and 3 yrs free maintenance.

i've tested the car before and it's really easy to drive. down side, i'd say it's a little underpowered, but ppl claim that it compensates for that with having a little more torque.

all in all, value for money but the assembly does suffer a bit cause some creaks are noticed when you open and close the door. the best thing that this car has going for it right now would be the warranty and cheap maintenance.

But the price seemed like i cant get any latest price for it yet , from Naza/Kia website its written there 68k . But that was the price when it was launched , no price drop?

I'm very interested in this car , if u refer to my previous thread, u'll know why i want a new car

If u want power, get a Jazz VTEC and Mugenize it. The 206 is a top performer for comfort and that EURO-style feel-good type of driving. This is mostly due to the comfortable ride, the simple yet special interior with Jaeger instruments, service interval warnings, Porsche Tiptronic gearbox, etc. But for power, it sure isn't one for all that F&F wannabe stuff. The 50L tank is large enough to not have to stop and fill up too frequently. At first the gearbox seems rough but after a week it matches your every need like it has hooked up to your brain! A quick 5-10 minute drive won't tell you how nice it is. Nasim has just gotten the Peugeot franchise (no longer Cycle & Carriage) so you can expect cheaper original parts, easier availability, etc.

my sister drive one.... the 1.4cc with tiptronic, minus the novus treatment. cost her almost 70k last year.
been on the driver's seat a couple of times. not suitable for a fast driver. no urge in power. the tiptronic gear kinda like messy... better to leave the auto get the job done.
on the positive side, the ride comfort is good.
TS, i f you really interested, test drive the 1.6cc. the naza salesman i get to know during their roadshow in amcorp mall gimme' a ride during the launch. quite lively.

I seldom speed , so the underpowered issue is not for me, I've read about how good this car is , all i seek if is the comfort when driving. and of course the price.

RM70k , my dad wouldn't get one for me at all cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Power isn't everything when you buy a car. Growing up, our family car had 2 doors, no aircon, no power steering, no power windows, 1200cc pushrod OHV, no SOHC, no DOHC, no EFI ... and no cup holders. It was second hand from the 70s, as many families with parents holding govt. jobs could afford to buy. Maintenance, oil changes, brakes, etc. were all DIY'ed at home. At RM68,888 OTR, considering all the specs it's one of the cheapest European cars in Malaysia and worth taking a look at. Only downside is the shape has been overshadowed recently by newer, also somewhat emotional designs, like the Swift, etc. but the 206 with its build quality and ride comfort can still hold its ground compared to many others.

I'm quite sure it's quite a bit less than the list price. When I bought it there was a ~5.5k discount altogether which brought the price down to around RM62k.

Don't expect very good fuel consumption though, it's only around the same as my Satria 1.3 manual and worse than my Toyota Wish.

it's definitely not sporty, but classy indeed, albeit a little dated.

i think sporty in the sense that it's based on the 206 wrc.. but fast wise... it's not biggrin.gif

if u are not looking for something powerful, this is the car for u. it's truely the cheapest continental car u can get and easiest to maintain. anyone would tell u that maintaining a continental car is a pain when it comes to cost... but this car, it's cheaper than maintaining a proton

To me, this car is not bad looking. If i were to get one, i would surely look around for a 'Peugeot' badge to replace the 'Naza' badging. How much does the Manual version cost nowadays?

Hi guys,

Been looking for a new car and i'm thinking of a Waja but no harm checking on other cars. Anyone has any feedback or comments on the Naza Bestari? i.e. Interior and External Quality, Parts and service price estimates, Fuel Consumption and overall performance..Thanks in advance
*
Driving it for a month and a half,i am a very satisfied owner.
Riding is very comfortable (i drive to the international airport everyday)
It maybe a slight underpowered car but i can live with it.i am not ur 2F2F dude.

EXTERIOR :

Evergreen style and look.People can say its dated, but hey it still a head-turner.
Do the 206 justice.Restore it to Peugeot. In fact IT IS a Peugeot..Turn it back to a Lion.
The difference between 206 Pug and 206 Bestari : NAZA BADGE and some local parts (to get CKD status)

INTERIOR :

Love the tiptronic transmission look (afterall its by Porsche)
Interior is classy with the Jaeger meter, service interval and gear oil level indicator.
The information LED which displays outside temperature (although i think it is not quite accurate),
informing of which doors opened/closed.
Interior build quality is OK,but i think they couldve done better job assembling the rear passenger doors.
It doest feel too good. The rest are good IMHO

FC + Maintenance

As mentioned earlier,FC isnt very cheap or very expensive.Just Average
I get about 13.5 km/litre everytime i fill in 26.041 liters
(which is RM50,full tanks is 50litre)
Maintenancewise, the common parts arent really expensive.and mind you the service interval is 20,000km
(You will do the 1st service after a local/Jap [exception to some models,of cuz] cars have done for the 4th time e.g 5000km interval)

Overall a GOOD car.not perfect neither bad.
You can test drive and compare. Then u can decide.
I'm just sharing my satisfaction :-D

Oh and lookout for promotions, maybe when NAZA relaunches Peugeot this March (after taking over from C&C)
I got myself a hefty RM6000 off the price during a promo last DEC. thumbup.gif

Cheers.
