Lowyat prices are not as good as before comparatively. In the past, they had the best prices for almost everything. Today, many shops outside lowyat can sell cheaper for the same item than those lowyat dealers.

The retailers at lowyat were able to grow due to economies of scale. But once they do not have volume they are no longer well-positioned to counter a smaller but more nimble competitor. Today, it is quite difficult for lowyat retailers to do the kind of volumes that they have been accustomed to in the past.

Moreover, there is always the danger of diminishing returns to contend with. How many lowyat retailers are aware of this pitfall?

I thought POC or Penang's Overclocker Club is going to churn out someone like Taiwan's world-famous Coolaler. Who will get the coveted spot in Penang?

One helpful link for all overclockers out there in Penang: http://oc.adata.com.tw/news_detail.asp?newsid=5

I thought performance stability is the key pursuit of overclockers the world over?

Anyway, are you aware that A-Data is the best performance ram at its price level? And are you also aware that the sole distributor of A-Data rams in Malaysia is SS Computer, a Penang-based company?

Yup, that is correct. And have you used any A-Data ram since and were you happy with them?

By the way, the A-Data 2 x 1G 800 dual pack at RM 199 will whack the living daylights out of Corsair XMS 2 at RM 229!
