Hmm... Now this is kinda weird, for the very first time I actually realised that some computer goods in Penang are actually cheaper than in KL blink.gif

RAMs and motherboards for example...

Well... The DS3 is RM10 more expensive in KL and so is the RAM. I saw people selling Hynix KVR for RM85 in Bulk Orders while I bought for RM6X only hmm.gif

how much you bought the mobo?
where you bought it from?

for the ram, penang shop they are not picky like KL,
KL will pick up the hynix chips one,
and sell higher price,
at for penang shops,
they dont do that,
what chips come with that batch,
they just sell at the same price only smile.gif

Motherboard haven't buy yet, every shop I went to on the Mainland (Within Penang) is either out of Gigabyte or don't sell them. Most shops keep recommending me INTEL, MSI or ASUS doh.gif ABIT, can't see any shadow pun sweat.gif

GZ Prai still have 3 Hynix left I think, Rev. C. Saw Patriot Value Series as well, are they better?

Rev C aren't that good if compared to Rev. B.
Why not get some High Performance ram, since they're already so cheap nowadays...

loled... rams so cheap now still to get value series?? Patriot their slowly faded away, as another contender invading the market brows.gif . now is the chance to hunt performance rams with D9 chips already. X38 & X48 is around corner who dare keep stock for P35 Chipset already.

I'm only aiming for 900++MHz OC for the RAMs, rather save up for a better GC nod.gif I thought X38 is already out, but P35 outperforms it, no?

cant really said P35 outperform it,
coz the X38 is still new,
and not yet fully done fixing...

like the p35 just launch,
they said not much different in OC with p965,
but after fixed all the issue,
tada, the ability of p35 are shown~

the ram is cheap lar...
got for ballistix pc6400.
usually go to 1100 or 1200 also no problem~
mine tracer can go 1200 but just abit hot only...

intothefantasy told me the DS3 already reached its EOL, true? If this is the case, any other good OC boards below RM450?

@cschun86
