QUOTE(zeustronic @ Dec 16 2007, 11:37 PM) Since u r adding hardware better change ur PSU 1st, insufficient power oso can cause hardware tempreture heat up quickly. I didn't notice this the first time reading though..but seriously wtf? Since when temps can go up when there's not enough power QUOTE(neoxz @ Dec 17 2007, 12:43 AM) If you boot it up, can you at least see the boot up screen (BIOS, the windows screen with the loading bar)? If yes, then the problem is with your display resolution and refresh settings-LCDs usually will not tolerate the same refresh settings as CRTs. If thats the case, here's how you can fix it, hit F8 just after the bios screen to call up the windows boot menu, if you get to the loading bar screen you've missed it already, restart and try again. Once you get to the boot menu, select Enable VGA Mode, then proceed with a normal startup. Windows will start with the lowest display settings, and then you can set it back up in windows. If you accidentally set the settings too high and the screen blacks out, don't do anything for 30 sec and it will return you to the last setting. |

@lowenli
rainingzero said u did research a lot of 3850 and 3870... few question wana ask you abt 3850... 1. what is the idle and load temperature for this card? I dun hope to see the card is on fire like 88series... 2. For the price RM660 is the 256mb one or 512mb one? 3. Got huge difference between this two version as I am going to use at 22" widescreen. 4. which brand have the best quality and performance? |

QUOTE(cschun86 @ Dec 17 2007, 08:52 AM) @lowenli 1. Its about the same as the 8800gt. The 3850 is slightly cooler. Actual temp will depend on what cooler design the manufacturer chooses to use.rainingzero said u did research a lot of 3850 and 3870... few question wana ask you abt 3850... 1. what is the idle and load temperature for this card? My guess is probably 256mb for RM660, but I might be wrong. 3. Yes, if you intend to play games at your screen's native resolution. Resolution is the no 1 thing that makan video memory, followed by AA & Aniso filtering 4. This one I don't know..malas to read so many reviews..I like the palit and galaxy ones though, but feel free to pick your own, this is just my personal preference, not a recommendation. Try to get those with 1ns ram, the ram will be able to run 2000 for sure even if the card says only 1800. This post has been edited by lohwenli: Dec 17 2007, 09:12 AM |
