Finding it real hard to find a balanced setup between grip and speed in Montreal. For now, I'm going for grip as some walls won't forgive even though you've got speed that may serve you for only a few laps until retirement.

Just noticed that I hate all of the 12 setups I ve been trying over and over in Montreal, because my Momo keeps getting slightly off center every time I go out on the track when I counter steer quickly... The only solution found so far is to stop and turn end to end from right to left. Wingman fix I ve tried doesn't work, is looking for a dll file I don t have.

I feel like throwing the Momo out the window and getting a pack of smokes. vmad.gif

I thought I had fixed that problem with the latest Logitech software.

I think both attendance and driver performance may be awful low this Thursday. sad.gif

Couldn't we have postponed until next week instead of cutting it a day earlier? I know it would bump the whole season, but it may avoid making it a disaster race most will only want to forget.

I'm in no way criticizing decisions made earlier, but I feel this track does demand somewhat more preparation than most. I find it almost as deadly as Monaco with unforgiving and close walls.

Yay (3) - evoHahn, madnoren,edison, ryugan, PENZMAN

Nay (1) - dzariq

I'm not crazy making the suggestion and then voting yes, curiously, I somehow though more would have said no because of unavailability on a Thursday or not enough preparation time. In my case, I feel I'm ready.

Evohahn, thumbs up for getting a vote going, you sensitive man. blush.gif

Anyone can tell me how or point me somewhere I can learn how to pit for damage repair only, no fuel or tire change? Does pitting because of repairs screw up fuel-tire-number of pitsops and then can't make it to the end of the race if they add fuel and change tires?

I googled but didn't find much...

Hehe, he says it's too complicated to explain and makes a movie! rclxms.gif

Weird that stuff like rFactor menu instructions and all is so hard to find, scattered all over the internet instead of one complete manual on their website. Definitely an improvement they need to work on.

Looking at the PIT MENU, I did think that something could be done there as FUEL is highlighted on top. I have managed to assign keys to scroll up/down/increase/decrease.

Tried it and noticed crew still changing tires and adding fuel, I'd almost need someone at my side managing the keyboard to specify no tire change for each tire and no fuel added. laugh.gif

Cool, I did not know we can increase/decrease F wing on the fly! brows.gif

In race pit menu changes is definitely not something that can be mastered on race day. shakehead.gif. I'm sure it can be done with some practice though while in 7th gear on stretches and on limiter while heading to pit.

Is the server's Indy track the same as shown on page 1?
Indianapolis_V1.0.rar
I've switched track versions many times last night with Mara, no problems. Now I keep getting kicked...

I've just reinstalled version mentioned above and getting
FS one.rfm mismatch.

An hour of confusion.

BTW, V1.0 seems to have something wrong, sitting in cockpit and view of track seems unusually flatter than usual, as if cockpit was much lower than usual, can t see very far up front compared to other Indy track versions, curbs and track detail seem to appear too late for visual cues., seems you have to rely more on trackside objects.

Here's an on board lap with Schumacher at Indianapolis 2006. Here.

Fixed my fsone.rfm problem, using Mod Manager, I had uninstalled fsone06-07 and only had fsone 2006 installed. doh.gif

Are you guys like me?
When I watch these onboard laps, they always seem to be in 2nd gear in slow corners when I m always in 1st gear. Mostly I always seem to be using 1 gear lower than they will describe...

i heard strange sound at Indianapolis track  when passing the pit straights.sounds like a ufo..its disturbing my concentration.

I also hear it but everywhere i think, it s the pit sounds. Had that problem on another track before also.

It was solved by going to
C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Sounds\Ambient

and renaming announcer_1.wav to xxannouncer_1.wavXX

I use xx to remember that I was the one who changed the file name.

I ll try this fix tomorrow, going to bed.

Not that I don't like the BMW mod but I don't practice it much for now, already spend enough time on fs one as it is rolleyes.gif

I'm going to look at graphics to skin a car now, maybe that'll incite me more. biggrin.gif

Regarding pit sounds while on track, it was during last test race at Indy.

Happy Birthday Raikkonen, can't go over to shake your hand, so, the Torro Rosso pit girls are charging, bewaaaaare. drool.gif

I'm switching team (If that's ok), I'll go have a look now what 's available and suits me. The fat antenna on the Torro Rosso's nose is a visual nuisance. shocking.gif

It actually blocks out cars far ahead, even makes seeing brake zones hard to see from afar.

Added on December 26, 2007, 2:49 amBah, Midland and Super Aguri's antennas are just as bad.

I tried Renault, nice clean view with NO antenna, what a difference. rolleyes.gif

It's a small detail but been constantly bugging me for a while.
