OK...noted...Strangely too coz i downloaded it from rfactor.net.  hmm.gif
I try the one from rfactorcentral then
*
Nowhere did I see Raceking with the track Mara and I had running.
No glitches except for the 2 bugs for which there is a fix above.
Same JIADING track that is mentioned on page 1 by the way.
It felt like and looked like an ISI track but had maybe been modified maybe by O B U T U Ozone.

The ISI version of Jiading is terrible, looks like an amateur job when compared to the one I had loaded previously (Obotu-Ozone or Raceking?). No effort whatsoever was put on terrain rising or dipping by ISI, except for the dip before the grid. The rest is much too flat, some corners also seem to be very far from real life, while some strecthes also seem far from original lenght. Forget about looking far ahead also. Some curbs also missing.sad.gif Two single and separate laps was all it took to see the terrible difference. The cars are nowhere as responsive and nervous as on the other version. yawn.gif

Is there a chance we can test the other version with it's bug fixes?
I;m willing to look into it further( see what 's said about fixes)and test some more.

Next season you guys pick the tracks.

you happy. i'm happy.
*
Not a bad idea you know Evo, already enough work for you guys and more and more track versions to chose from as time goes by, usually improving in quality. Could be a pre-season chore for all to do by searching and testing.

Please don't take this the wrong way Evo, anyway, I don't think you are, I'm sure you mean it suits you in a good way if it makes us all happy as you say. Still , we all know the decision rests on you guys.

My suggestion to replacing the track, not the venue, was in no way to criticize it's choice by you guys at the time, or to be picky to suit my own personal needs. I honestly thought the version that was loading on my pc was the one originally chosen by you, but since I had a few different versions, the wrong one was obviously loading. I was really deceived by the original ISI version when I reverted today, even a Nascar driver would have seen the difference! laugh.gif

My opinion is that this new version really gives a better challenge and immersion experience to good drivers like us, interacts so much better with the car, will entice us all to practice on it more and give a better effort than we would on the old version. I am also sure it will see more drivers finish the race as going off the track is also a little more forgiving on this one, like the real one. I guarantee you 'll like it. A good organization never stops finding new ways of improving and making changes, even on the fly.

It's late huh?
YOUR FAULT! ALL OF YOU!
I just finished installing the new MSR MOD and gave it a good long try.
WOW! The cars are amazingly nice.

I'm very happy to see all your faces and match them to a name. notworthy.gif

MSR is truly a great league to race in and I will dearly miss it and be quite sad if joining the server is impossibly slow when I move back to Canada next year sad.gif . Hopefully, my super-fast connection there will do the trick and I'll stay around if I'm still allowed. icon_rolleyes.gif MSR is a name I should really start spreading around over there, seriously.

But not now, time for bed. yawn.gif

IMHO, the one mara hosting is ISI Jiading.
The one Chinese GP 3.1 is from Race King.

Seems we had switched to 3.1 last evening.
I'll be back later on for testing new server.

A few more months and I'll crush coconuts with index and thumb only. bruce.gif
Only the pedals give me problems with dirt accumulating and lack of lubrification.

I wish they made a wheel similar to F1 (square) and with many more buttons.

I keep getting errors, thought you had gone back to ISi track, nope. Tried all the tracks I had, none work.

Now I'v deleted them all, reinstalled 3.1 with fix, loaded week end, tried server after, same thing again...

I ll delete them all and download once more...

Realized something today...
I thought the race was next week, that's why I proposed changing track version, not the venue.

Food for thought for other seasons: If rFactor, FS One can be upgraded mid-season, tracks should as well, no? Providing there is ample time to adapt. Just my opinion.

This is to inform the league that I will no longer... tongue.gif nah, I will not be able to attend this Friday's Jiading race.

Some not so serious problems have arisen with my wife's pregnancy and our son has to be born by c-section. The operation/birth will take place on Friday afternoon, January 11th.

There is internet there and I could bring my PC and wheel at the hospital but I 'd probably be transfered to the psychiatric ward following the race. rclxub.gif

Think I met you in a bar once, you were having a conversation with a potted plant in the corner. "Awajzabada, awajzabada min never again...wrrrraghh... wraghhh painted red again. Hic!" rclxub.gif

Aaanyway,

Weird connection or Matchmaker tonight, none of MSR servers show up, refreshing server list is slow. Was lapping with Maranello and Soberino, I decided to change to a Renault, disconncted and never made it back to a track.

Lesson learned, never change team, isn't that right Villeneuve? Alonso? tongue.gif

Added on January 17, 2008, 3:12 pmOh, I'm a left foot braker too.
Same when I drive an automatic car, I had started that out of laziness then noticed it was quite easy and never gave it up.

I'll be there.

Should've kept my big mouth shut yawn.gif , it's a different track version than the one I'm used to but just as good. I ll have to quickly learn the subtle differences and adapt my now obsolete setup, thought race was next week. Doesn't matter, a good junkie quickly adapts. brows.gif

Overheating tires after a few laps with all my setups... sad.gif

Did a 1:12 on race fuel now and am sure I can do better in 1:11 but what's the use if tires overheat. Did that overheating thing start happening after the fsone update or rfactor update?

Added on January 17, 2008, 9:07 pmOur son's name is Albert, a combination of my name, Alain and my dad's name, Gilbert.
I thought about that way back when I was a kid and always said that's what I'd call my son someday. tongue.gif
