QUOTE(AkiraX @ Oct 23 2008, 09:47 AM) Hi lyk, 2k per sitting... there will be just one sitting only... should you tender your resignation letter? erm... it depends on you... i couldn't give you much advice as we both don't know what will us be after the training right? How much is the cost for the certification exam? It is a full time 5 weeks training, so do i need to tender my resignation letter in order to attend the training? It's quite a risk if i am not hired after the training.. mmm... due to economic downturn right now, i'm not so sure if there's much jobs opportunity available... still, the decision lies in your hand... have to think carefully ooo... QUOTE(wiraone @ Jul 13 2009, 09:55 PM) Go for functional if you can .. otherwise, start with may be with ABAP and after at most two years, switch to functional .. the demand for a good functional is surely very high .. ABAPers usually will be the last to be called in any new project, most of the time..the last quarter of most project.. whereas functional consultants are needed from day one .. proposal till .. final handover.. ya... how i wish i can get into functional... i'm fresh ABAPer and it's kinda difficult to find a job as most of the companies require at least 2 years experience... any idea of how to get into functional without paying highly cost of 30k?And surely functional consultant gets better pay .. |

So why not accept the challenge and improve your abap skill since u're given the opportunity (compared to those doing normal support job who dont have much learning curve) This post has been edited by lyk: Jun 1 2010, 11:44 AM |

QUOTE(wiraone @ Jun 1 2010, 11:56 AM) Errm.. as a CERTIFIED ABAPer, you should be able to go through .. now, let me think .. if a certified person complaining that he/she couldn't do the job .. I guess the certification is meaning less .. wonder why some companies prefer to look for a certified consultant.. you are right... not giving any excuses but the gap between being certified and now is exactly one year... within this year, i've forgot everything bout ABAP Programming... hehe... so now tried to brush up everything but have no idea what's going on... certification is about theory whereby experience is about hands-on and be able to apply into the real job... me? none other than fresh ABAPer... experience gain = 0... where could i gain such an experience is every company hired an experience candidate? |
