hm, so long liao no one reply. haha. looks like this place only girls' pic will get response, or otherwise just change your sex info to female. hehe.

and the pics does look interesting, maybe the angle a bit normal, done a million times type liao. be creative, be wild, forget the rules. close both eyes and shoot.

Hi Maniac, generally very colorful images smile.gif
I like the first one the most, the composition is nice.
The angle on the second shot is kinda "not optimized". Perhaps taking at lower angle.
The third shows a little out of focus on the art. And it's a little too tight. I'd suggest more room around the "peacock".

Nice pictures on the bug and the kids!
However, I would like to know why the kids seem to be GLOWING white in some of the pictures?
Stage light?

part of the reason is the harsh stage light, the other is mainly becoz I didn't take it correctly in the 1st place, and was rescued and added the glo effects to hide the flaw.

Nice compilation of your pictures.
However I don't think it does justice to your shots as the image quality has dropped =P
I like the insect shots alot, since I'm fond of insects too - since young.

haven't use the D300 for the 'custom-built' lighttent yet
the bamboo shots are still all made with D200 + 50mm.

It was a tough job shooting in the event, it was so badly organized if you ask me, more like a closed party to me, if you are not a members, your basically ignored. The actual lighting was so bad that, virtually you'll need to use slow shutter everywhere in the hall, but the doggies are so excited that, even 1/500s can't seems to freeze the moment.

So what did I do? I tune up the ISO to ISO 3200, Fixed my exposure to F2.8-F4 with a shutter speed of 1/125s and above. Turn on active d-lighting to 'rescue' the badly underexposed shot, and noise reduction set to LOW to rescue from grains lightly
