it's weird that those B3 series has similar pricing, if i were to get 1 now, i might get 9750 as opposed to 9650 and 9550 as the difference is not much.
Phenom x3 and x4 now in Malaysia, The new K10

QUOTE(LohMaiGai @ Jul 2 2008, 08:58 PM) it is hard to believe on what amd had said. last time, she said phenom will be how many percent better clock to clock comparison with intel's product, now what is happening? generally, not even on the same level.... and this is compared to kentsfield, not yorkfield well, shit happens, just like during Pentium 4 era, intel was having hard time beating AMD Athlon, even their Pentium D was a failure. they just gained back their ground with C2D and now it's AMD's turn to work harder |

i have a noob question here
afaik, 780 chipset supposed to be better than 770 chipset, but why does the MoBo for both are selling at the same price, or 780 1 selling at a cheaper price? |

QUOTE(X.E.D @ Jul 5 2008, 05:20 PM) Hmm... 9950 seems to be a better chip (mature stuff it seems) as every review I've seen says it can get to 3Ghz stable (with stock volts it seems) another noob question:3.2Ghz-3.4Ghz is a risky bet, but when the new SB750 + 790FX/GX motherboards come out, I think the Phenoms will hit it. At 3.4 you better WC it though. Oh, and if you're wondering, your 6400+ handles games JUST fine. Get a Rad 4850- 50% performance increase, spend much less than a Phenom. given the high TDP of those higher end phenom procs, can those mainstream mobo support those procs? e.g. ASUS M3A |
