So what is your route and travel time usually?

What would be your alternative if not for the LRT3. And what sort of commuting time otherwise?

I'm asking this because it doesn't seem as packed as the main MRT/monorail stations in town during peak. So just curious.

I myself gave up on driving 5 years ago and gone on 2 wheels.

Before you complain too much on the new LRT3. Remember that there are people like me that only have Kommuter service, at best 20mins, at worst 1hr intervals. And I bloody live next to the fed hwy, not some ulu place.. I would count yourself lucky already if I have LRT service frequency. Hahaha.

This called bad? They clearly haven't rode Bukit Bintang MRT/Hang Tuah Monorail at the same hour to understand what is bad.

Bad is the camera man can't even walk inside coach to coach.
Bad is u just started queue like a civilized citizen and waiting for next 3 train to fit in the coach.

Pasar Seni easily have to wait for 8 trains to get in

4km is considered far? hmm.gif

do you walk 4km to a train station?
or do you drive/ride 4km to a station?
if you have to use your own vehicle (from your door step), you are doing it wrong.

if we really copy like what other countries do, conlanfirm Kelana Jaya line will have to force their operating time to 2am and then maintenance workers will have to work 24/7 non-stop due to overloading/overcrowded trains
*
seriously, I wish our trains operate at least until 1 am and start as early as 5am.

ERL cannot do it, bcuz ERL is private owned by few party, ytl biggest.. operated by YTL..

That is one of the reason YTL is front runner for HSR job bcuz they are a backing model of ERL.. which i think is better at least??? Haha

According to report, still lost making.. lol

What’s wrong with driving 4km to station since there is no last mile connectivity provided? hmm.gif

Do you walk 4km to nearest station? Some LRT stations are less than 4km apart. So better walk station to station instead? laugh.gif

Sabar bro. Once the KVDT project is completed, komuter user would have better service than LRT3 user if heading to KL. Expected headway of 7.5mins during peak hours, 6 bigger cars train, higher cruising speed.

if less than 2km, I walk.
what I mean is the failure of public transport connectivity to house. you need to design a city where majority of people don't drive. walk 10 minutes and there is a bus stop in front of your house. and the frequency has to be less than 20 minutes.

Doubt so with the Komuter. Not just inconsistent, but also easily facing problem during usage back then. That's why many rider had to drive far to reach mrt station and ride it instead heading nearer for KTM station.

Iinm KTM not eligible for rm50 pass right

Of course it is less than 2km I would walk. That’s what I did in earlier days of my working life when I took KJ line LRT. Everyday walk about 1.5km to station and another 500m-1km to office. The problem now is even the nearest bus station is already 2.5km away. You’d be sweating like pig if you walk for 2.5km continuously. And frequency of the bus also is not that frequent.

Actually komuter before KVDT was pretty reliable. Even better they actually have schedule for you to plan. Those who complained are people who never refer to the timetable and missed the train or people who last took that train 15 years ago.

Of course there would be occasional breakdown that cause delay just like LRT.

That's the hope.

When the double track is done hope will balance out the load from Klang LRT.

My past experiences using Komuter, the board shown 10 minutes ETA, but when 1 minutes eta to arrive, suddenly it all disappear and need to wait another next cycles of train, forgot how many minutes gap the next train. Then told via speaker, got problem etc, consistent 1 times per week sure got this situation. All these b4 MRT completion

And heading Serdang KTM if evening, and rain, standby got flood situation around Serdang station rail, hence stuck to somewhere before. Burn riders time.

These situations are not happening, or rather rarely for MRT1

I can’t comment on Seremban side, but Port Klang one were pretty reliable.

And don’t compare to MRT since it is relatively new, compare with KJ line or Putra line.
