bro not really “soft” foul lah, replay show Attia both pulling Lisandro’s shirt AND standing on his foot at same time, that’s pretty clear double contact not some ticky tack call. Even FOX’s own ref analyst Machnik said correct decision, protocol is protocol! foul in the buildup phase that leads directly to a goal, goal gets chalked off regardless which team. Yes some pundit like Clattenburg and Rob Green disagree cause of how far back/long it took, that’s the legit debate (VAR reach/distance), not whether contact happened.

And “no var no freekick for egypt” also not accurate. Salah’s penalty shout on Alvarez late on WAS checked by VAR, they just correctly cleared it as no foul. Same with the earlier Mac Allister handball shout,
