QUOTE(knwong @ Jun 8 2026, 09:18 PM) QUOTE(TongPakFu Dim Kristy @ Jun 8 2026, 09:27 PM) Crocodile attacks in Sarawak are a serious concern due to the dense population of saltwater crocodiles in the state's 4,500km of river systems. Between 2000 and 2020, there were 164 crocodile attacks resulting in dozens of deaths. In recent years, fatalities have spiked significantly, with an average of up to 10 deaths annually.Historical and recent data highlight the severity of these incidents: averaging 7.8 cases per year, with about a 70% mortality rate. It is estimated that there are 13,500 crocodiles in Sarawak. sosSarawakian will know. "Awas Buaya" sign is a norm here. This post has been edited by Chyan: Jun 8 2026, 11:45 PM |

Reminded me of Australia where gomen there see kangaroo as a pest. They encourage locals to kill and eat them
Sarawak should do the same. No need to give out license. Just kill when see one |

QUOTE(quintesson @ Jun 8 2026, 11:53 PM) usually bags are made from farmed croc one, because need to be nice and smoothIn the wild, setting aside the scars they get from daily fights, the struggle during capture by humans alone can already cause significant damage to the skin. |

Throw in some guilt free promotion like "Ethical, free-range and government-regulated trophy hunting with ecotourism, with fees directly funding anti-poaching and local habitat conservation" to attract hunters! ![]() |
