First, samsung is tab, apple is pad
How you can mix samung pad?

If you just link device, older msg & media you cannot download on linked device, only available on primary device

Even some msg like older that half year also cannot view on linked device

Whatsapp does not upload all the messages from your primary phone into their servers. Most of the time my linked devices like PC only shows few days to 1 week only picture messages.

Many assume Whatsapp stores all the all their attachments (pictures, videos, documents) permanently into cloud. But they don't.

It only keeps messages content for a short period of time. This is because they want to limit their storage use.

All your messages are stored in your server. And also your backups. (Either in Google Account/ Drive or local backup (hard disk, USB drives, etc)

If there are old messages that you need to see, you can forward those messages and content to your own self (*YOU* Name/ Phone Number) from your primary phone. No need to look for backups. Then you can access all those messages in full in your own phone number whatsapp.

Don’t format la, this is Windows/Xbox doing lala oni.

Disable Xbox app startup first, then delete the empty folders and reboot. If still come back, check Gaming Services / Task Scheduler. But don’t kill Gaming Services if you still play Game Pass games, later Xbox app buat hal again.

I encountered the same issue from one uncle who knew me... Apparently, the program that WhatsApp Download have does not hold the very same files from the Cloud..

What you can do to bypass this is to search for WhatsApp Web through Google Chrome... Then log-in via Linked Device / QR Scan to send folders into your laptop / desktop...

Some people was confuse about the concept of link and sync. Only sync will allow you to have every things clone to another device. But not all app have the feature of sync. So you might need 3rd party app to help you do that. Whatsapp don't have feature for you to sync photos and files to another device. Once the photo downloaded to your phone, Whatsapp will remove the files/photo from their server.
