south east asia was explored as a whole by british east india company, you can assume they already started to send indian labour here to develop malaysia rail roads since india has rail road earlier than us.
malaysia rail road = 1885 india rail road = 1853 |

History is an emotional mirror. Some people look at it and see himself. Some people see something they dont like and want to change it like mobile filter. overthemoon liked this post

QUOTE(Yolo Swag @ May 7 2026, 09:47 AM) Disagree, anything related to religion should not be indoctrinated in public school, whatever ur beliefs, islam buddhist hindu christian cthulhu satanic flying spaghetti monster, should be taught separately You're missing the point. Go visit museum if you eager to know some tokoh achievements Theres a lot of this country amazing/interesting history that is not taught enough to local students, eg, kl dangerous mining camp, tin monopoly, larut wars, borneo pirate kingdom etc Golden age of Islam is up there with other periods of ancient civilizations (Ancient Sumeria, Persia, China, Rome, Greece, European Renaissance, etc.) that's had significant contribution to modern day science, most of what we have today can be traced back to all of the ingenuity produced during these periods. In fact it's one of the least affected topics by historical revisionism, everybody's talking about them so there's less chance you're being a fed a bullshit version. |

QUOTE(kcal @ May 7 2026, 10:04 AM) ![]() this one sound like tokok. our calender is only used in the 16th century. whr got historical record EXPLICITLY say yr 1414 during that time? some more western calendar. they mark date according to which ruler rule. eg the 6th yr of yunglo reign something like that. maybe he converted it on purpose. |

I saw Singapore also change their narrative
In Malaysia we kick Singapore out for being naughty But Singapore they don't learn that. Instead they say Singapore decided to leave Federation after mutual agreement |

Prof solehah tidak setuju Melayu 60000 tahun tidak setuju Maybe akmal also tidak setuju Hang tuah is a legendary hero when suit the narrative, and is missing when no longer favorable. Parameswara or in fact any figure can be claimed as muslim for the narrative. One can be pahlawan bugis, calling serumpun, nusantara etc, but also looking down at indonesians by calling them indogs. mualaf like ridhuan tee, firdaus wong and vinod are heroes, when great contributor like prof chin fung kee has been mocked because ppl don't like chinese sounding road name and don't know who he is. Will the history teach the children that malay can fly and build the largest ship etc in the future as claimed by prof solehah? What do you get by tuning these history? So that in the grave you may claim a brownie points from god? And a slightly elevated malay superiority? When most students only know how to memorize and regurgitating? Did the author imagine someone will truly appreciate his work and enjoy the history he published? A bunch of propaganda admin butchering the historians work just to push the agenda?
