I said before we should stop buying car for status symbol or experience. Buy car for the bare minimum going from point A to point B. Instead of spending all the extra money on car, it's better to spend on other things that is more beneficial for own living conditions. Car is govt's cash cow, there's no way they will remove the excise duty as nothing else can substitute it.

But some ktards can't accept it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

agree that we should not buy cars for status symbol, but disagree on the experience part.
We should not go for the bare min for the sake of replacing the legs, but can be a balance of many factors that the driver deems as important which different for everyone (apart from brands of cause because that is pure stupity). Some value driving comfort because he spends 3 hours on the road every day. Some value conveniences like ADAS or AA/ACP. Some value safety. Some value reliability. Checklist is different for everyone. For some people, having a better car is "more beneficial for own living conditions".

All these noises are short sighted!

Bare minimum for what someone needed. Some functions although can improve the driving experience but might means have to pay high price for it, if the amount too big it's just make more sense to not get it and spend the money elsewhere.

So Zus is reference? Wow... I didnt knew that. For me, kopitiam is the reference.

So which brand are you comparing to? Enlighten me.

Tuhu is cheap? I really dont know. My local mechanic is just fine. Mechanic as usual, if you want guarantee to work, you let them earn some margin on the parts and if have problem, they will exchange. If you bring your own parts, good luck. So how is Tuhu cheap btw? Show me some example.

Bruh, Zus's peer is Luckin / Baskin etc so its stated there

Again, kopitiam as a reference, says alot

You are not comparing apples to apples

And a quick google tells you how Tuhu is disruptive towards local market. Undeniably, good for consumers, but for local businesses?

And not forgetting that the point of argument is MITI's favoritism to "protect" only a specific industry

Rather than be consistent throughout the country and all industries - Which includes but not limited to: Seeds (again, google); F&B; Services; Electrical Appliances etc

Well if you want to practice protectionism / favoritism do it properly

Don't lead the market to believe that you are open

Only for you to uturn again and again

And if want to practice protectionism, should do so for all industries including food & beverage, electronic appliances etc

Didn't see MITI there though
The rest biar mampos
