Depends on what you define as cheaper. First of all, MY dont make cheaper cars in the first place. The tax structure make it cheaper to produce than to import. However CBU EV is already cheap to begin with and you cant beat China in costing. So CKD EV will be more expensive even before they reinstate back the normal 60-105% excise duty. So tell me how it is going to be cheaper in the first place. You will be lucky if they didnt increase the price, let alone reduce the price.

Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda has no EV CKD plan in Malaysia, they has plans for ICE, not EV
The models that Toyota has just launched last month, they only got 2 months to sell

The only winner are Proton, which all Galaxy models are CBU currently, of course going to exemption from this 300k
