Newbie question..it may sound a li'l stupid..but heck =P
The console is better left laid down or standing position?
Cause I've a little trauma with my PS2..when I have disc inside while the console is in the standing position..scratches tend to appear on the disc..
How does this compare to the PS3? and which is the better recommendation?
PS: Thinking of leaving the PS3 standing due to lack to table space =P

QUOTE(ah_heng @ Jul 25 2008, 08:03 PM) if u got the space, better put the PS3 lying down instead of standing up. I guess the weight is better distributed when it's lying down QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jul 25 2008, 08:50 PM) Technically, the best position to place a PS3 is horizontally(lying down). When placed horizontal, the PS3 doesn't run as hot as it is being vertical. In other words, the PS3's internals are cooler when it is lying down. Trade-off is of course space. The PS3 isn't a small console to begin with. Standing the PS3 vertically saves space, and in a way does improve your Wifi signal as well(I tested with mine, horizontal position my signal is 66-70%. Vertical position my PS3 gets 75-92% usually). Saves space and IMO, looks cooler Vertical or horizontal, my PS3 has yet to scratch any of my games yet since 5 months ago I bought it. FYI, Blu-Ray discs has a thicker layer of protection so it isn't as vulnerable to scratches as opposed to DVDs and CDs. Oh..okay..just planning out before actually getting hold of the console..planning first =P
