20gb is acceptable but (320-263) some 40gb?? did i do sumthing wrong??

its normal... ours 320 also shows 298gb.. its about the bytes divide by 8 thingy..

A portion of HDD is also "hidden" file reserved as cache by the OS, that's why you have some used GBs. Not sure what is the percentage though.

another question...i dont have any LCD TV or LCD monitor...just using old style TV....so isit ok to play my PS3 with the normal TV? am i still going to get a nice graphic?

and currently using 3g broadband...using my henpon as a modem...so issit possible i can connect to internet using same method? (HP-PS3)?

Advise you not to get from Sg.Wang, the reputation there is worse than an apple with worms crawling inside. Buying software is ok, but hardware is a big no no. As for Lowyat, there are a few shops there which is rather "OK" but their prices are usually higher than usual.

The PS3 can be played on a regular old CRT TV, and obviously you won't be getting the full HD visuals like you would on a HDTV or on a LCD Monitor. The visuals being nice or not will depend on the game.

And finally, no you cannot use your HP as a modem for your PS3 to go online. The PS3 can only be connected to the internet wirelessly through a modem/router or wired directly from a modem/router with an ethernet cable.

just a quick noob question..

when u using thumbdrive to ps3.. how to remove it? is it the same way as comp where u need to safely remove first or just unplug it straightaway..

Make sure nothing is being transfered or beign read from your thumbdrive first, then just unplug it from the USB port.

Provided the format of the video file is supported by PS3, then yes you can play it on your PS3.

I put a theme and the update firmware in my thumbdrive, and both are kept inside a folder i name PS3, but the machine still can't read it.

Why should I do?

firmware should be in folder inside PS3 with name UPDATE.. and theme inside folder THEME.. both UPDATE and THEME must be inside folder PS3.. see this website for clearer explaination:

i'm still unable to watch my ps3 either on my new 32 lg lcd 30 series or my samsung lcd monitor 226bw...

why ah...i suspect 2 only:-

1. hdmi cable broken or not 1.3 or
2.my 60gb ps3 hdmi cable port not working...
