MY LCD MONITOR IS LG L196WTQ. How to set my lcd to 720 while i play ps3.

video settings..

All widescreen monitors(and majority of standard monitors with 1280x1024 res) dating back to 2005 has a res higher than 1280x720(720p).

So just check your LCD monitor's manual for its specs, if it supports anything higher than 1280x720 then you're fine. What you need to make sure is that if your monitor is HDCP compliant over DVI or not, if it has HDMI then all the more better.

Go to Settings > Display Settings > Video Output Settings > Select your connection(in which case is DVI) > Tick 720p and deselect others(except of 480p/576p, its unselectable).

may I know can I use usa cc on sg psn?

my mom is letting me to use her cc.. so.. just asking or I need to register usa psn?

edit : got it to work on usa psn : D but I think sg psn cannot .



may I know why the usa psn games are so expensive compare to sg psn? o.O

ok im getting ps3 this coming 12th of august , so i need to know , what should i get for extra accessories

hdmi, dual shock 3 and if possible a bigger size of hdd.. ww 40 gb is too small.. zzzz

bd remote control if you watch blu-ray movies? I don't have the remote control so I can't comment much.

thats why i wanna buy 40gb...cause i want to upgrafe the hdd...if i buy 80gb also useless...cause after all need to upgrade also...so how much 320gb will cost?

juine, what credit card did u use to get it to work in US store?

what address did u use to fool the store? a real US address?

IINM, it is easier to get it working on SGP (Asian) Store cos they never verify the address .any fake address will work for most (if not all) Malaysian c.cards

guys, where can i get 2nd hand game in malaysia?? uhh, somewhere in shah alam.

ok. did more testings on my ps3 fan and recently after playing a few rounds of demos, i left it idle for several mins just to see if it actually goes back level 1 fan noise.

After a several mins nap i woke up to see that the fan is still spinning pretty fast and the noise though not as loud as a blow dryer but still apparently loud enough to hear even when im standing a few inches away and this was also in an air conditioned room plus the night was really chillingly breeze so my room is pretty icy cold.

However, when i put my hand at the back, the air being blown out is apparently not hot air but mild cool breeze but the fan noise is still the same. TSorry for the redundancy and call me paranoid if you wish to but i find it really odd @_@. The reason im doing this cuz i've read on some forums saying that once you left it idle for several mins, the fan will go back to its initial silent mode.

After buy hdmi dvi cable and try to connect ps3 with my samsung lcd226bw...still no picture....lcd show no signal analog or digital....suppose can work because my lcd support hdcp...

my mom lives in New York.. I'm using a valid address and I use her cc which is US cc...

ya i'm waiting for my SG cc to approve...

seriously I just want to know what so great with US psn.. it's not like there are some games I cannot buy from SG psn.

I'm from JB btw..n M'sian so don't get confuse with my nationility.

Added on August 9, 2008, 11:26 amI tried with HP L2465 ( not HDCP compliant ),can detect signal but no pic came out even i set it to 720p.With Dell entry level 22" everything is fine.

after try many times using hdmi dvi cable to connet to lcd samsung 226bw monitor..still no signall..

now problem is when i change to use my 29" flat sony tv ..also no picture...wahhhhh how to get back my default setting to be able video on my 26" sony tv...

to get back to original video out (AV out),switch off the power.Then switch on the power and hold the power on button for about 5 second untill u hear 2nd beep sound.

good so many tricks and tips here..
