My family has one, I drive it periodically, easily over 300km

U can check in groups also people consistently getting over 300km no issue. The WLTP claim 325km is quite achievable just drive normally. If u drive more conservatively can even get like 340km

When I drive to get WLTP, my waifu complain why drive like uncle... jinjang to taman ehsan only already fall asleep...

Please dont get EMAS5 - range below 200km only - you will regret

Dude, range below 200km and range around 250-300km is day and night difference man. Anyway, I have seen enough eMas 5 users stating that getting at least 300km from it is easily achievable so the car is definitely usable for me

I think depending on owners preference and charging habit.

In general, some people would claimed that charging full and depleting completely does absolutely no harm to the battery longevity at all. If one would stay to the advice of keep charging from 20-80% to prolong the battery longevity, Basically <200km is your range somewhat before your start charging again.

I personally kept charging between <25-85% for my C10 as well. Before this I was charging to 80% only but later tried 85% and found the extra 5% helps to reduce charging more often. Tried my best to kept charging before going under 20%.

LFP battery can charge to 100% every time, no issues one. Anyway, if got any issue can claim warranty. I charge my emas 7 to 100% once or twice a week.

Yes like i said if you drive below 60 then may be can reach otherwise cannot. WLTP is 325 only usually minus 20% for real mileage.

LOL - Emas standard is 225 wltp and premium 325 WLTP --- so if since you sound like your familiar with EV - u also know that WLTP - 20% = Real mileage right?

After calculating that you may check for your self on day or night or evening difference. I know several close member regret buying EMAS 5 50% of them put up back for sale already.

How to recommend when u don't even state your budget ? Zeekr ok with u ?

On serious note, test drive both EMAS 5 and 7 PHEV last week..

EMAS 7 PHEV is good.. Sat in my friend's new BYD Atto 3 last week too.. For me, nothing special.. EMAS 7 PHEV is better

p/s : I also don't like Proton cars since Wira, Satria days.. But their EMAS series is simply amazing

The 20% doesn't apply to all EVs. Some EVs are known for their capabilities of matching the WLTP range under normal daily usage (eMas5 is definitely one of them) while some perform much worse. Of course, it also depends on the foot of the owners so one size doesn't fit all. However, I think most of the owners who bought an eMas5 don't really see it as an option for a spirited drive or a long journey cruiser so achieving 300km is pretty much doable and reasonable.

It's not the car but rather the driver. If you can drive like the test driver did on roller wheel, then you can achieve it or get close to it.

Much like petrol car mileage. It's also not achievable for most until you get onto highway and start driving between 70-90kmh. Many people say ev get good range in slow speed but I tend to get good when driving leisurely between 70-90kmh.

EV is good range between 60-80km/h. 90km/h also ok. It's that 110km/h and above that you get less than WLTP. For WLTP, you need to do almost pure city driving at 50-70km/h range.

That's why when comes to one car fit all scenario, all the low cost EV are out. Minimum is 400km+ WLTP and 80kWh+ battery, that eliminated all sub 180k options.

Maybe except the Model 3 Kosong Edition. Others claim WLTP 400km with tiny battery, good luck even get close to the number.

Some argue fast DC charging are sub 10min now, those 250kW+ DC charging speed are not available for 100k EVs either.
Not to mention 400kW+ DC charging on 800V/900V platform with 100kWh battery size.

So accept the fact that low cost EVs are designed as city car. Doing highway run is always compromised (frequent slow charging) or have to drive like snails.

Have a clear expectation what they are, what they are not.
Also actually since they are cheap, having one City EVs + Renting a ICE MPV for occasional 1 week balik kampung, the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is still cheaper than expensive car be it ICE/Hybrid/EV.

That's if one primary intention is to save money + die die want EV. Otherwise we always have Axia/Myvi/Saga.

I would say both the car and the driver's pattern of usage affects the car's ability to match its WLTP claim. Of course the driver's foot matters more than anything but you know some EVs are just born with incredible efficiency.

LOL... what do you by they are born with incredible efficiency? laugh.gif

I think most manufacturers nowadays would exaggerate on their claims rather than over engineer their product. Only Western companies would under specify their claims a little bit in certain regions to prevent from being sued back by consumers.

Not sure where you get your "facts" but pretty sure that is not the case.

1. Tyre pressure is important
2. Fresh battery
3. Appropriate driving style

Everything will change after a year or two when :

1. Battery degradation
2. Tyre replacement - cheaper tyre without regards to rolling resistant
3. Getting used to instant acceleration and no more wow, thus heavier on throttle
