Basically, it allows you to run SDHC (SD high capacity, usually 4GB and above) on your pda.

Please, if u went and purposely buy SDHC and find it cannot work, i'm not responsible. I just found the file and sharing..

Feedback seems to state it works on Samsung Proc only.

There are incidents and reports where after patching, it doesnt allow wi-fi to work. In which case dun panic, just uninstall the patch.
Seems to have issues with Ipaq. (haha)

Instructions:
first you must copy paste the two dlls, (back it up first just in case) then install the certs.cab, then the sdhc.cab.

FAQ
Q: I am not allowed to overwrite sdbus.dll and sdmemory.dll (or delete them)
I have HTC3600 wm5 and I have tried directly in device and also from pc
Could anyone tell me howto?
A: if you get an error message whenever you're attempting to delete a file, it means that it's used by another program or thread. in most cases, you can navigate to Start\Settings\System\Memory\Running Programs and stop all running programs beforehand. but sometimes, these files are used by system resources (such as DLL files). in this case, you need to rename the file to something else (for example: sdmemory.dll -> sdmemory8.dll) and soft-reset your device. now use the file explorer to delete the renamed file.

Note: Make sure to backup your files before renaming/removing files. it may lead you to a hard-reset!

well, SDHC = SD High Capacity.

Like, for D810, i believe there's reports it can accept 2gig mini sd onli. But if patched, u can use 4GB mini SDHC! Or if 6/8GB come out...droolll

SDHC also got classes. The higher the class, the higher the speed. shud be faster than a normal SD

Any lag report when updated to this patch and use with big capacity SD?

from what i can tell from people who used, no such incidence. Its either it works, or doesnt work. And since this patch is officially released by Kingston i believe, i doubt there is.

can use in all models? as long as samsung proc?

i dare not say for certain. Best is, try it out yourself lo.

i'm dopod d810 user.. can this patch works? how much is the mini sd 4gig card?

You cannot say that SDHC is for all WM6, you need to mention which processor.

AFAIK, the drivers depend on the processor, like TI OMAP 850 has certain SDHC drivers.

If its for samsung, then it would not work on other processors

ilham87, it SHOULD work. i say SHOULD. Without postage would be Rm175 for 4gig SDHC class 6 (fastest class)

the sdhc driver shld comes with wm6 right? then no need patch ald..

even atom on wm6 can use mini sdhc.

have u tried it? and no, doesnt mean wm6 means can support wm6. For example D810 no SDHC driver support, even when upgraded to official wm6.

sorry for my ignorance. the atom wm6 was not official and it was cooked by some amateur experts. maybe they already enhanced the sdhc feature in the atom rom.

ah, yes, if its cooked then sometimes the 'cooker' would incorporate the patch within the rom also ^.^

I was talking about your title ler, its misleading to put SDHC patch for WM6, instead you should put SDHC patch for Samsung proc.
