For example,
If i buy a car at Australia for RM100,000 and i want to bring back to Malaysia after i stay there for 3 years and above.
How the tax counts? The car is 5.0L.

I don't really understand how to calculate the tax for import.

QUOTE also you could look at it this way.. a brand new car (less than a year) would cost you about RM300,000 (value + tax), after 3 years, it will cost you about RM200,000 (value + tax). That RM300,000 ( value + tax ) is the cost of buying car at Malaysia or overseas? |

QUOTE buying a brand new car(5L) overseas at RM100,000 for less than a year (but more than 9 months) will be taxed about RM200,000... so total.. would roughly be RM300,000 The tax costs a bomb!! |
