I'm not sure if it has been addressed in this thread before but what about cars which are not going to be used on the road?

I would like to import a car for track use only. As far as I know, no registration needed but do I need an AP?

E.g. This is relevant for racing teams bringing in their street legal cars (but not registered for road use)
